Fundraisers needed

2 in 3 of us will become an unpaid carer at some point in our lifetime.
An unpaid carer supports a family member or friend who cannot manage without their carer’s help.

For example, an individual may care for:
• A newborn with a physical disability or long-term health condition
• A partner with a physical illness, mental ill health or struggling with an addiction
• Or as we get older a partner with failing physical and/or mental health.

Over the last 40 years we have improved the quality of life and well-being of thousands of people with care needs and their unpaid carers in Oxfordshire, West Berkshire and Windsor and Maidenhead. We provide our support to individuals of any age, with specialist teams to look after those in need, ranging from babies to the elderly.

Our staff and volunteers provide:

• replacement care when needed (not-for-profit) with qualified skilled care workers.
• free carers breaks (reliant on fundraising) when we can, we give unpaid carers free care hours so they can take a break.
• access to free activities We recently fundraised to offer unpaid carers fun and relaxing activities like drumming workshops, and support with overnight stays to visit family, passes to attractions such as Cotswold Wildlife Park, teas, meals and pamper days, and short breaks at Butlins.
• free group outings (when funded too), so unpaid carers can meet up and support each other. We ran some group trips to see Oxford United last year, as well as visits to trampoline parks for the kids and boat trips for some parent carers.

If you or your place of work are looking to support a local charity then please consider supporting Crossroads Care.

By participating in fundraising efforts for us you have an opportunity to make a significant impact in your community. Through fundraising events, donation matching, community challenges, sponsorship opportunities & a charity of the year programme, you could support a cause that connects with some of the most disadvantaged people in our society.
