Live-in Care Worker
Would you like to make a positive difference to vulnerable or elderly people to live safely and independently in their own homes? Our live in care worker role suits people who want to care for just one or two people, avoiding the need to be travelling from job to job like some hourly care roles.
As a Live-in care worker you live with the customer in their own home in a spare room. Your role is to enable them to stay at home with a good quality of daily life. This involves helping with daily living tasks like shopping and meal preparation, washing and dressing, supporting with moving and handling, giving medication and keeping the home neat and tidy. You additionally play a role in supporting the customer to keep active and enjoy social activities. You would be a part of a small team of live-in care workers who take it in turns to work one week on and one week off with the customer. You have at least 3 hours to yourself off site every day. We employ hourly care workers to give short term support if needed.
We give full training and provide any specialist training that is needed, but most live in care workers have previous experience due to the responsibility of the role.
We work hard to ensure our live-in care workers are compatible with our customers in order to make this role rewarding. As you live in, you get to know each other well.
