Our Story

We were established in 1982 as Oxfordshire Crossroads Care and for over forty years we have provided care services to people who need help with daily living tasks, or who have more complex needs requiring regular specialist care. We offer short-term or round-the-clock care that is personalised and responsive to your needs or those of your loved ones.

We have expanded to offer care services in West Berkshire and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, in addition to Oxfordshire, and our care services have grown to include specialist adult care. We also offer care and companionship for children Under 18 with learning or physical disabilities or medical needs.

We are more than just specialist care agency. All our direct care services are provided on a not for profit basis. We are also special through our charitable activity where we support any family carers. We are proud to be a network partner of national charity Carers Trust. Family carers are typically a husband, wife, partner, son or daughter, brother or sister who look after their loved one. They are unpaid carers, often exhausted and rarely get quality time to themselves. Our support for carers includes advice, support, days out, clubs, activities and respite care to improve life for these unpaid family carers.

‘’At this incredibly sad time, I am writing to thank you immensely for the amazing care you have been providing for XX for so many years. You have been so supportive and understanding throughout and always prioritised XX’s wellbeing and happiness and, quite challenging, needs. You have also supported me too in very difficult times and I cannot express how grateful I am, and how lucky I feel to have been able to rely so consistently on you. I am including here also the many wonderful carers, full- and part-time, who have been looking after XX over close to twenty years now. Please pass on to them my deepest thanks.’’
